Tom Cook is a Michigan trustee of The Nature Conservancy, a founding Friend of the Shiawassee River, and member of the Kirtland’s Warbler Alliance. He considers himself first a resident of the Great Lakes, but looks for opportunities to travel to other natural places, like the longleaf pine forests pictured here. As well, Tom enjoys literary journeys into the natural world. In 2018, the diagnosis and then successful removal of a brain tumor brought home to him the importance of his close relationships, the healing power of nature, and the importance of walking. The Nature Conservancy has written up Tom’s story and produced a video ( learn more here about that journey). Thank you for your support.
